Possession Of Heroin

A client was found with a large amount of a substance that tested positive for heroin and charged with a B felony carrying 8-12 years. The client was adamant it was not heroin. I was able to have the substance tested by an independent lab, and the client was correct that it was not heroin. The charge was dropped.

DUI

I was able to show that the officer did not follow protocol in submitting the breathalyzer, and that the officer lied about the encounter at the gas station by showing the video of the encounter to the district attorney. DUI charge was dropped to reckless endangerment, requiring no jail time.

Rape Allegation

A girlfriend accused a client of rape in an order of protection after a breakup. I was able to meet with the client and develop evidence from text messages and social media to show the allegations were false. The judge dismissed the rape allegations.

First-Degree Murder

A client was charged with first-degree murder for a drive-by shooting. He confessed after being grilled and coerced for hours by detectives. I was able to verify the client’s alibi and obtain surveillance video. The case was dismissed before even going to trial and the client spent only two weeks in jail.

Attempted First-Degree Murder

A client was charged with first-degree murder when he was in an abandoned building. Three officers went inside to arrest him for trespassing, when he fired shots. He was facing around 100 years in prison if convicted. He was found guilty only of aggravated assault, carrying three to six years.
